Progress Not Perfection

As a self-proclaimed "lifelong learner" my vocation, hobbies, relationships, experiences, and all other aspects of my life are continuously works in progress... hopefully reflecting some semblance of spiritual growth along the way.

One day at a time, I take inventory on the actions that have worked well, the areas where I need to improve, and the possible errors in judgement that require making prompt amends with persons potentially harmed by my words or behaviors.

Each day is a fresh start, a new beginning, to be a little bit better than the day before. I truly hope you believe this truth in your own life as well.

As I look back over some of my past decisions, publications, and/or life-altering choices; there are those moments when I say to myself "YES! That was a good call!" But there are often other thoughts of negative self-talk, criticism, or embarrassment when I ask myself "GIRL, what were you thinking with that one?"

Would I change any of those? Possibly. However, those mistakes and painful life lessons have all substantially contributed to who I am today. And just who am I -- you may be asking yourself as you read this particular entry.

Please allow me the honor and privilege of introducing myself to you...

"... I am a flower quickly fading

Here today and gone tomorrow

A wave tossed in the ocean

a vapor in the wind

Still you hear me when I'm calling

Lord, you catch me when I'm falling

And you've told me who I am

I am yours, I am yours"

The excerpt above is quoted from the lyrics of "Who am I" a beautifully poignant worship song by Casting Crowns which I am currently praising to as I write this love letter to you. And my truth is I couldn't have explained who I am to you any better than all of the lyrics contained in this exquisite piece of music. Being a music lover is yet another facet of what makes me uniquely ME!

But what I really want to know... is what makes you uniquely YOU?!?

I genuinely hope you will either take the time to comment and introduce yourself on this post, OR contact me directly through my email listed on the contact page located on this website if you prefer to remain private in your introduction.

One of the main reasons, I recently moved my domain [GratefulGwen.com] to this new location was with the HOPE of connecting with individuals more than I was able to do at the previous blogger site.

Time will tell, I guess...

Looking forward to virtually meeting you, and hopefully hearing your story soon! :)

Life is JOY RIDE!!! Live it!
