Be Still

"Do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those He loves." Hebrews 12:5,6
The above verse is on display in my office today for the date of September 19, 2023. It is yet another humbling reminder for me to be silent and listen. I have felt silenced lately in meetings both in person and via social media. After figuratively banging my head against the wall in frustration from bruised ego and pride, I am finally ready to listen and obey.
Yes, I recognize the irony here in that I am not exactly remaining "silent" in writing this blog post. Psalm 46:10 also reminds me to be still and know as well as a moving song by the same name "Be Still" by Hillsong Worship.
I am not giving up; rather I am listening and accepting God's Will for me, while praying the "set aside prayer", trusting the process, and waiting patiently for my next steps empowered by the knowledge of His Will for me and the power to carry it out one day at a time.
As a lifelong learner, reading books helps me tremendously with the tools needed for navigating this life journey while prioritizing peace. THIS [highly recommended] good read surprised me pushing my growth mindset to open to new spiritual ideas and concepts:
