Vision Board

YES,  it’s that time again.
Time for a NEW Vision Board and time to update another older post of mine.
Unfortunately I had to do the copy and paste thing with this entire post because of a recurring error code which in turn causes the font to be black instead of white making it more difficult to read. My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.

Over 5 years ago I created a vision board as part of a self-help process to turn my life around and start heading in a positive, healthy direction with the hope that I would be able to face myself in the mirror and actually like the person looking back at me.

It has a taken a lot of work to get to that place.
December 7, 2022 Day 7 of The 7 Day Reset and I’m happy to be FREE from the perceived self-imposed restrictions!

Hopeful I will continue with at least some of the hood habits formed here in the past week.

But today I DO like myself, have [mostly] forgiven myself for past sins, and claim progress, not perfection for a healthy mind, body, and soul in THE ART OF WELL-BEING :)

Those last 4 words are my favorite part of the “side-hustle” online business at which I have made a weak attempt to be successful. Of all the things good, bad, and ugly about this company that phrase is the one which represents me best.

Another favorite of mine was the reading πŸ“– today of Philippians 4 (link below.)
Many people choose a Life Verse.
 I chose a Life Chapter.

Life is full of choices. Choose wisely.

In my newest Vision Board above, I am envisioning a firm strong core and lighter frame easier to carry up steep hikes as part of an even healthier mind, body, and soul; and more importantly bringing God glory through surrender to His Will resulting in increased engagement here on the blog and on the GG YouTube channel to reach all people while focusing on my audience of ONE.

I just realized that part of my new vision reminds me of our church Mission Statement:
“We are a church being changed by God to reach all people.”

Philippians 1:6

This is happening!

Envisioning bringing this level of fitness pictured below back, including the lighter way I felt in that moment in every possible way.

Gratitude reciprocates

...Kinda like Karma, except all positive vibes.
This is such a mind blowing phenomenon, because it’s so incredibly simple and yet so life-changing and profound!
Another key or cornerstone concept is this one of ACCEPTANCE.
I’ll get to that one in a minute, but first I want to address the pursuit of happiness.
What I have learned so far along my spiritual journey about being HAPPY is this:
Happiness is temporary and fleeting. As opposed to JOY which is deep in my bones, heart, and soul and lingers even amidst my suffering and pain. JOY in the knowledge I am NEVER alone nor forsaken gives me an indescribable peace of mind like no other; a peace which surpasses human understanding. Philippians 4:7

This joy and peace brings us back to acceptance.  Once I master the ability to sit in acceptance that I have zero control over people, places, things, pandemics, natural disasters, or other tragedies that occur in the world on a daily basis;
I can then empower myself to CHOOSE exactly how I want to respond (not react) to each set of circumstances I encounter along my adventures in life.
I can choose to learn from my mistakes and not repeat them.
I can choose to be of service to another human instead of wallowing and lingering in self-pity.
I can choose to inspire and give HOPE to others who are 𝗉𝖾𝗋𝖿𝖾𝖼𝗍𝗅𝗒 𝗂𝗆𝗉𝖾𝗋𝖿𝖾𝖼𝗍 just like me!
I can choose to shine this little light of mine with faith, hope, and LOVE. ❤️

Promises are coming true!

He [GOD] has shown me that it is a scientific fact that gratitude reciprocates.

Purpose Driven Life Jeremiah 1:5
Jeremiah 29:11

Below is my Vision Statement and Vision Board drafted over 4 years ago. At that time I was filled with determination, all of the Moral/Religious/Philosophical convictions galore, my own self will and power.  I FAILED. It was not until I fully surrendered that I found FREEDOM from my chains, peace, and the Vision coming true. Feeling abundantly grateful and hopeful today. What a miraculous journey!  Thank you for being a part of it.
Happy to be living a Purpose Driven Life!
When I say things like “surrendered” and “freedom from my chains” this is what I mean:
THY WILL, not mine...
Feeling especially grateful in this moment for my God-given clearly revealed PURPOSE!  I love my job and the opportunities to serve families in the community.  To see the relief and pleasure in their eyes after speaking with them and providing the safe space for them to truly be heard fills my heart with indescribable joy.
