Today I am feeling this verse below
Philippians 4:11
More than ever.
As I observe self-proclaimed millionaires all over my social media, I find myself asking “Do I even want what they have?” And the answer is “No.”
God has always provided more than enough for me. The older I get, the more I value the “Best things in life are FREE!” concept.
My husband and I were just discussing our top 4 out of The 5 Love Languages and we both agree that they are the ones that don’t require spending much, if any,  money.
Words of Affirmation are Free.
Physical Touch (God’s intended way) is Free.
Quality Time is Free.
Acts of Service—Free

Yes, it’s easy for me to say these things on the comfortable income I earn.
But my point is, what God gives me is enough.
I don’t have an insatiable drive or need for MORE.
It is enough.
More than enough.

May we be good stewards of it all.
Psalms 37:4 says “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

It is true that God knows me better than I know myself. And why wouldn’t He? He created me! He placed those desires in my heart while I was being formed in my mother’s womb:
Psalm 139:13-16
Jeremiah 1:5
I am on a Spiritual Journey.
Ever since my Spiritual Awakening began on 9/15/2017 I see things more clearly than I ever have before.
I notice things, I may have taken for granted before:

Things like beautiful butterflies, intricate flowers, cotton candy clouds, magnificent sunrises, and magical sunsets, the divine scent of freshly ground coffee beans or the musty aroma of rain falling on dirt.

Things like the gentle gesture of the back of my husband’s strong hands stroking the hair across the top of my head both in his waking moments and sometimes even while he is asleep.

These are a few of my favorite things.

And with the exception of the coffee beans, none of these things cost a dime.

You may already know that Philippians 4 is my absolute hands down favorite chapter in the entire Bible an extremely close almost tie with
1 Corinthians 13 all about true LOVE!

In Philippians 4:11-13, Paul tells us he knows what it means to be content under any circumstances. This is not the message of our “hustle prevails” culture today.

But it is the desire of my heart.

To Be Still and Know.
Psalm 46:10

And never before in my life have I experienced the exquisite gratifying and satisfying complete fulfillment of the desires of my heart;
until I fully surrendered and became obedient to the Will of God, delighting myself in Him and His higher ways!
Psalm 37:4
Isaiah 55:8-9

Push-pin bullet The Original Full Version The Serenity Prayer

God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Those 6 words above make ALL the difference!

To delight myself in the Lord means to surrender fully to His Will for me and graciously accept and enjoy with an attitude of gratitude all the amazing gifts He places along my path.

I surrender…

Open my eyes, mind, heart, ears, other God-given senses, and gladly submit to His Will at His feet peacefully content like Mary; while the rest of the world hurriedly scurries about preparing the meal like Martha in a vain effort to impress others and “make it to the top” (whatever that means since you can’t take any of it with you!)
Luke 10:38-42

Do I question some of the decisions I’ve made throughout my life? Of course I do. But do I dwell on them? Heavens NO! I prefer staying in the here and NOW in by far the best relationship with Jesus I’ve ever had!

and YES,
I am “One of those!”

What The World says vs. What God says:
