For a brief time a few years back, bracelets with the above acronym for “What Would Jesus Do?” were a growing trend among Christians. Then it became an easy way for Athiests to throw it back at same said Christians.
NOTW for “Not Of This World” was another trendy Christian marketing brand around the same time.
I can certainly appreciate both of these concepts.
Jesus Wept
At a recent celebration of life service we heard a powerful moving talk given by a lovely young woman on behalf of her best friend, also my dear friend’s son who was (is) a beautiful soul.
She began with this shortest recorded verse of only 2 words above. Jesus Wept.
John 11:35
It shows our Savior’s humanity and incredibly deep level of empathy for us.
Even though Jesus knew he would raise Lazarus from the dead—Even though he knew Lazarus would have an amazing, wonderful eternity with him to look forward to as his ultimate destination, he still wept.
That’s the kind of God we serve… One who cares for us on such a personal, intimate level that he cries with us and for us. His heart breaks over our pain. Jesus was willing to literally die for us, so that we might live.
And not simply live; but live an abundant life!
John 10:10
Less of me God. More of You.
John 3:30
Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy Will.
Set a Fire down in my Soul…
I want more of You God.
God,
Grant me the SERENITY to ACCEPT the things I can not change, the COURAGE to CHANGE the things I can, and the WISDOM to KNOW the difference. Amen.

BALANCE
First “FaceTime” video above without hiding behind a cartoon filter in a while…
Do you ever feel like your life is a movie?
Driving down the street on my way to serve when I heard a song called Breath of Life and looked up at the clouds above the cross on top of the church in the warmth and comfort of my Jeep, and it felt surreal. It was as if I was watching beautiful cinematography in slow motion and God was saying “Well done thou good and faithful servant” to me.
Matthew 25:21
Oh how my heart longs to hear those words in His Kingdom when he calls me home.
Lastly, I want to add after being reminded by another gifted speaker last night at a meeting; the truth is I don’t know what Jesus would do because I am not Jesus.
I do strive to be a little bit more like him each and every day.
But I also realize I still have a long way to go!
Good thing I get to spend all of eternity with him to continue learning, growing, worshiping, and loving! ❤️
Was also reminded by last night’s speaker to thank my God for the unpleasantries in life as well as the good stuff. Because ultimately it’s all good stuff according to God’s perfect Will and plan for my life! I love and trust Him with ALL of my life, heart, mind, body, and soul!
Forever and ever Amen 🙏🏼
